It’s such a thrill every time FWSK is on. This season is especially exciting for me.
Fashion weekend Skopje #12 started yesterday with the theme Fashion and Cultural Heritage, in the magnificent space of the National Museum of Macedonia. The idea to put together the deeply connected themes of fashion and cultural heritage in one project is very exciting and challenging and I am so happy that FWSK is making this huge step, marking its place on the world fashion map. Colleague blogger Jovana Zuka (After Two Five) did an amazing job designing this season’s logo and I am so proud of her. As you already know I am deeply fascinated by our culture and tradition and firmly believe that you can not go forward unless you know where you came from. That was exactly the idea behind the exhibition that opened this season of Fashion weekend Skopje, titled Wedding Stories, a project implemented by the British Council Macedonia as an organizer, and the European University – R. Macedonia and the Museum of Macedonia as partners. I’ll be following the FWSK events until October 25, so be sure to check out my blog posts and my reviews for Pixel.mk. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for some front row sneak peaks from the shows.
