Ana Lukenda from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina is the talented young woman behind the signature MOA she’s been using for 10 years now, but she started the MOA Baggeek story exactly two years ago. What started as making one bag for her own needs transformed into a line of unique bags that immediately captured fashionistas in her native country, and soon the region as well.
Ana says her inspiration comes from different sources each new day: ordinary and extraordinary situations in her everyday life is where her ideas sprout from. Design is a part of who she is and how she lives, and creating bags is just one of her creative outlets. MOA baggeek bags are designed for all who never have enough space, want transformable, multicolored accessories that match with a combination of daytime and evening. Multifunctionality is the main characteristic of MOA bags: the “two face” bags can be worn inside out and instantly you have a new, spacious bag, and each customer can choose from the available palette of colours.
The QuickClutch model was an instant idea, says Ana, and she just had to make it. The clutch is actually made of VHS cassette cases and aside from being eco friendly because they’re made by upcycling, they’re also extremely original because you can change the look by inserting a new application in the case.so clutch can have so many faces as you want. There are prints that she designs, but you can also make your own print design. Improvised handle is also possible to choose, as well as a transparent plastic MOA logo and different color balls or spikes.
Ana is pleased with how the fashion bloggers reacted to her bags and how they continue to spread the good word by accessorizing their amazing outfits with her models. It’s a mutual collaboration that builds the fashion community and a great example of how fashion lives in the streets, in the form it is designed for.
